So I’ve been keeping tabs on CES 2009 (totally wish I had the moniez to go!) via a few blogs:

These three blogs make up the bulk of my Google Reader account. I have yet to see anything overly amazing come out of CES 2009 (or the MacWorld conference for that matter) however Warner over at GottaBeMobile put up an interesting post earlier today to say the least.

In that post he talked about Notebooks.com, Xavier Lanier and his Scott eFleece vest. The concept was actually quite cool and I really REALLY like the amount of pockets that jacket has (not to mention that it looked pretty warm) I being somewhat of a technophile/nerd myself really appreciate some of the features that this jacket offers, the millions of pockets among other things. Although the price is a little steep than I’d probably be willing to pay, I think it is a fantastic gift idea for any nerds dear to you 😉

Hey All,

Well this is a different sort of post, a congratulations to Min, an acquaintance (I suppose, we never REALLY talked). She’s getting hitched to her boyfriend, well now fiance. I am indeed happy for them! They always seemed like a really happy couple throughout high school. (Oh the good ‘ol days….) I have followed some of the developments via Facebook and just the general excitement. I saw her over winter break, I didn’t expect for her to recognize me or know my name for that matter haha….but she did! Once again, congrats Min and let the good times roll!

Well the title of this post pretty much sums it all up!

A new year, 2008 is gone and 2009 is upon us. I stopped making resolutions many years ago because, well frankly I don’t keep them. However I will outline a few goals that I’d like attempt this year:

• Develop more software
• Learn more CakePHP and become more proficient in OOP PHP rather than quick ‘n dirty PHP
• Finish my SCO project?
• Restructure eFire for a few ideas that I’ve had on the back burner for far too long
• Possibly find a female companion (note, this is at the bottom of the list)

With a new year comes new courses, this quarter shouldn’t be too exciting….but we’ll see how that goes.

Finally, it’s freaking cold here…..and my heater aKa fileserver just doesn’t heat like it used to….all those shiny new 1Tb Samsung drives that run too cold for any practical heating purposes =P

Esther and Andy are going to CES this weekend, how I’d love to join them but I don’t have any monies to pay for that trip….oh well….
